Default Ranger's Shooting Animation?

Are there more than the typical moving your leg and back back and shooting? Does it change depending on the type of bow a ranger uses?

I'm asking because my friend's faction female ranger shoot like a REAL archer (standing straight). D:

I haven't noticed any of the rangers look like a "real" archer would (at least one that is trying to shoot competitive scores or on the upper end of accuracy). Though GW does better than most games, they at least get the motion of their upper body mostly correct on their loose. If the female ranger would only hold the bow mostly (or even better all the way) verticle instead of horizontal then I would be happy.

As to your question, I just checked on my ranger and there was no difference between her recurve and longbow. I thought that there was some difference between bows and there still may be - those were the only two types she had to choose from.

I am doubtful the ranger uses any real archer animations, If you want to see those kind i would suggest going a paragon and using a bow. When i have been luring i have noticed they have real archer animations

Male and female fire bows differently, but otherwise they are pretty much the same. Type of bow doesn't matter.

the only alternative firing animation I've seen is a female using Pin Down...she crouches down to fire.

Oh! I found out why. :P She used Called Shot. That makes her stand up straight...

And thanks for the tip on the Paragon's animation. Is there nay way the Paragon could make use of the bow so I could see the animation all the time?

To be honest, honey-pie, it's your game, you payed for it. You could do whatever you want. If you're looking for a P/R build, i would suggest scoping PvX for a general idea, and then evolve it. How would Barrage + Sy! work?

Just go for it!

Male and females are different - females fire the bow sideways and males fire it upright. Using Pin Down or Cripshot gets you to kind of kneel and fire the bow holding it sideways (on either gender I believe).

[Barrage][Savage Shot][Burning Refrain]["They're on Fire"][any shout][charm Animal][Comfort animal][Signet of Return]

It's not the best build in the world, but it's not broken in any way.

Seb2net seems to have a good idea, optionals can either include go for the eyes or "Dodge This! How did i forget "I Am The Strongest!"
